My name is Genine Meek, I make tai chi movement for wellbeing part of my daily life. I also enjoy regular walking, swimming, and strength training—all of which energise and inspire my work. Time in nature, especially while walking my dogs, offers a reflective space that feeds into my artistic thinking.
Alongside my MA in Fine Art and a teaching qualification (PCET), I integrate wellbeing practices into creative education. I am a certified yoga instructor with the British Wheel of Yoga and also teach Tai Chi for wellbeing. These movement-based disciplines, rooted in breath, focus, and awareness, deeply inform both my teaching style and artistic process. I believe that creativity flourishes when mind and body are in balance, and I use these practices to support resilience, presence, and a deeper connection to the self.
