Lindsey Knowles

I strongly believe therapy should be as unique as the person sitting in front of me. As a pluralistic counsellor, I work collaboratively with you to find the approaches that feel most helpful for your individual needs.

Alongside talking therapy, I draw on techniques including CBT, psychoeducation, somatic therapy and creative approaches. I offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported to work through things at your own pace.

I’m a mum, a wife and, after almost 20 years as a teacher, a qualified therapeutic counsellor. During my time in education, I realised that more and more young people needed support that went beyond the classroom, while teachers and families were also facing increasing pressures. I have since found myself naturally supporting parents and carers who have had difficulty navigating the education system and having to advocate constantly for their children.

Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, low confidence, or simply feeling that life has become difficult to navigate, I will work alongside you at your own pace, supporting you to find a way forward that feels meaningful and authentic.

I know it can feel overwhelming to reach out but I like to think I make the process as easy and supportive as possible. I offer a free 20 minute introduction call where you can explain what you are looking for and I can tell you about what I offer and we can see if we fit. No pressure, no there and then decisions, just see how we get on.

My counselling fees are £45 per 50 minute session. Limited concession appointments are available, please visit my website to see if you may meet the relevant criteria.
