Hi, I’m Dr Sam Cockle, the founder of Balanced Health & Wellbeing.

I help women transform their weight loss journey from strict deprivation to a compassionate, empowered and sustainable approach.

About me

 

I’m a specialist Health Psychologist for women struggling to lose weight and keep it off. I have a passion for changing the way we approach weight loss to include more calm and self-care, and consider the whole person, with a mind-body approach that supports overall health and wellbeing.

 

I’ve focused on health and wellbeing of for about 15 years. I have 8 years’ worth of university level education and training in psychology, including conducting specialist research and working with clients in practice.

 

I also struggled with my weight for many years. I’ve felt the stress and frustration, experienced the judgements and people assuming you’re in no way trying. I’ve been there, which means I can understand and take a compassionate, nonjudgemental approach. It also gives me more passion to help my clients out of the struggle.

 

I still consider myself on my own weight loss journey, but I’m calm and in control – my approach is the best it’s ever been.

 

My mission is for each and every client to leave feeling stronger and more confident to act with self-compassion for their health & wellbeing on their weight loss journey.

 

 

Redefine: My New One-to-One Program

 

My new Redefine program is designed especially for women who have been struggling to lose weight and keep it off.

 

It’s inspired by my years of professional training and experience, as well as my own struggles with weight loss. It will help you to transform your weight loss journey and realise diet struggle freedom.

 

Redefine uses methods grounded in psychology, supporting you to explore what’s been missing before, and do things differently. The program is designed to guide you to a compassionate, empowered and sustainable approach to weight loss.
