Experience

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR therapist. I qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Psychotherapist from the University of South Wales in 2012. I currently work for the NHS as a Psychotherapist within one of their mental health teams, providing counselling to adults of all ages. I have previously worked for the mental health charity MIND for 11 years where I was the Lead Counsellor and Counselling Manager. I also worked as a Psychotherapist within a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre as well as a community support worker for people with drug and alcohol issues for over 8 years.

I have recently fully qualified as a trauma specialist in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), and have helped people to recover from a range of issues including road traffic accidents, phobias as well as other problematic anxiety and trauma-related issues.

I have successfully worked with people of a variety of genders including Male, Female and Non-Binary people. I use a range of different therapy techniques, but I always change and adapt these techniques to suit each individual person I work with to help them move on to a happier future and leave their problems behind.

How I deliver therapy

I’m happy to offer you a free 20-minute phone conversation with you discuss what’s troubling you before we book your first counselling session.

I offer both long and short-term face-to-face therapy as well as online therapy on Microsoft Teams. Each therapy session will be between 50-60minutes long.

Cost: £50 per therapy session.

I would suggest just making an appointment for just one session. This will give you the opportunity to get to know me and for you to see if you feel comfortable working together with me and for you to ask me any questions. If you wish to continue then further sessions can be booked.

If you’d like more information, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
