About

Michelle Hitt

Integrative counsellor and EMDR therapist

I am an integrative counsellor and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) therapist. I work with children, adults, couples and families. I offer a supportive and pragmatic counselling service where you can explore your feelings, emotions, behaviours and relationships in a safe and effective way. In additions, the EMDR therapy that I offer is proving to be really successful for people with a range of issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and childhood abuse/trauma. It is also a good option for issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and phobias, especially where any past traumatic experiences may be contributing to your current symptoms. I use an amalgamation of traditional counselling techniques and EMDR protocols to help you through your most difficult times but, as this is your process, I will be led by you and we can work through your issues in a way that feels right for you.

I am currently able to offer some face to face counselling, adhering to government guidelines during the covid-19 outbreak. Also, online video call sessions.
