Hello, my name is Denise, my slogan though really more my metaphor is “Out from the Darkness into the light”

We often know there’s something wrong perhaps a feeling of dread, or anxiety but can’t quite put our finger on why we’re not feeling so good. Ever heard someone say “I feel like I’m in a dark place and can’t find my way out” Counselling, and hypnotherapy can help to identify what those issues are and often, where those issues originated, providing those much-needed tools to bring you into the light and make for a brighter future.

I have always been fascinated by hypnotherapy, it certainly helped me in an area of my life. It can work as a stand-alone therapy, but also combines well with counselling. I am always client led so I make sure I only offer what is appropriate for you. I work ethically and I pride myself on my confidentiality and the rapport I build with each client.

I would love to help and assist you on you on your journey.

Experience

I was lucky to work with an organisation form many years who recognised the wellbeing of their staff as being paramount. This is alongside my voluntary work (Aneurin Bevan Health board, NSPCC, and Women’s Aid), and more recently my own private practice.

From my extensive training I am experienced in most modalities of Counselling and presenting issues, no matter how uncomfortable they may seem.

Hypnotherapy and counselling seem completely different professions but actually the reason I became a hypnotherapist is because I believe there is a parallel. Whether combined, or used as separate therapies, both professions require high levels of subject knowledge, sensitivity, intuition, understanding, sense of perspective and client rapport, in order to produce thoroughly positive results. Both professions provide the path for change in habit, thought, limiting believes and behaviour.

Having a great rapport between client and therapist, has always been my aim and a positive outcome of course, I consider myself eclectic, however, I am always client led.

I offer a free 20 minute consultation via telephone to allow you time to get all your questions answered, to enable you to get a feeling for who I am and whether you feel you would like to work with me.
